In the human resources realm, the business manager does payroll and administers the health insurance and retirement plans. He/she writes and monitors the budget in coordination with the Executive Director, and makes predictions about future trends and needs. He/she also helps the Executive Director to manage the facilities, including negotiating cost of services; and overseeing the work of the custodian, maintenance person, and all contractors. In addition, he/she coordinates contracts for technological and computer work.
