<![CDATA[ This position requires an individual to be responsible for analysis and development of individual lands projects including claims projects, contract preparation for specific tracts, land use and land ownership research, review, assembly and preparation of reports regarding land use and land ownership for specific projects. The individual must be able to locate and understand survey maps and deed descriptions, aerial photography and cartography, historic land use and vegetative patterns and combine this information into a logical, comprehensive written project report. The individual will be given access to government files located in the government’s (USFS) data base. It will be the responsibility of the individual to complete government security training and be able to obtain a required computer security clearance from the government. The individual shall have an existing understanding and capability of using the government’s computer filing system. The individual will be required to store completed project reports in the government’s data base. The duties of the individual include but are not limited to: Individual shall develop specific lands projects, analysis, and reports as required per project. This shall include researching, locating, reviewing, and analyzing historical land ownership records and land use patterns for specific projects as needed. Research records may be locatable in USFS offices, County Courthouses, County Register of Deeds Offices, County Tax Mapping Offices, aerial photography records locations, historical cartography locations, other governmental agencies, NGO’s and internet websites. Individual will be required to determine the best method and the appropriate records to research, locate the appropriate information, synthesize, evaluate, analyze, and organize the information into an appropriate written project report. The individual will be able to develop and store the completed project reports in the government data base. Work will be performed up to 10 hours per day.
